Marna Borgstrom is CEO of Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health System. She began her career at Yale New Haven Hospital in 1979. Her varied roles have taken her from a post-graduate fellowship, to various staff and management roles, to her promotion in 1994 to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. In 2005, she assumed her current position.

Borgstrom served as chair of Vizient's Board of Directors from 2014-2017.

Borgstrom is the recipient of several awards recognizing her advocacy and community involvement including the American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award, the Anti-Defamation League Torch of Liberty Award, The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award and Business New Haven Magazine Business Person of the Year. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by Quinnipiac University and a Doctor of Business Administration by the University of New Haven.

Borgstrom is a graduate of Stanford University and earned her master’s degree in public health from the Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health.
