Patty Olsen leads people and culture initiatives for Vizient® and has oversight for employee development and talent strategies that inspire and enable continued growth and engagement. Her areas of responsibility span all aspects of human resources, including culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as community impact and social responsibility.
Before joining Vizient in May 2022, Olsen was chief human resources officer for Huron, a global consulting firm where she had been since 2007. Prior to that, she held leadership positions at both professional services organizations and manufacturing companies for more than a decade.
Under Olsen’s leadership, Huron’s workplace strategies were recognized within the consulting arena for 10 years in a row as well as by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for seven years in a row. In 2020, Crains named Olsen a Notable Leader in HR.
Olsen earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from Loyola University in Chicago. An active community volunteer, she is also a member of the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
