Client healthcare organizations are recognized for their performance using data from July 1 through June 30. Each participating provider receives their scorecard in September.
Clinical awards for Quality and Accountability Rankings
The Birnbaum Quality Leadership Performance award measures the quality of patient care in six domains: mortality, efficiency, effectiveness, patient centeredness, safety and variation in care.
The Rising Star award recognizes comprehensive academic medical centers that made significant improvement from the prior year and scored in the top 25 in the annual Vizient Quality and Accountability Study.
The Ambulatory Quality and Accountability award measures the quality of outpatient care in five domains: access to care, continuum of care, quality, efficiency, and variation in care.
