Molly Zmuda, MHA
Molly Zmuda champions Data & Digital client relationships as a trusted partner to academic health system executives, including clinical, quality, operations and strategy decision-makers. She guides the adoption of ROI-driven, automated and interoperable solutions to systematically tackle high-value performance opportunities, leveraging AI and Vizient’s integrated data platform, combining quality, clinical, procedural, cost and market insights to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and strategic growth.
Most recently, Molly led the product team, development and execution of Vizient's data and digital product strategy for new markets, including: suppliers, distributers, service firms, non-governmental organizations, employers and payers, advancing and aligning Vizient’s comprehensive product portfolio to industry needs and opportunities, Vizient's managed services as well as customer goals and objectives.
In her previous role in Spend Management, Molly led teams focused on the strategic alignment of managed services with health system and supplier strategies through all areas of non-labor expense across the entire healthcare supply chain. Her scope included programs focused specifically on sustainability, supply assurance, price assurance and insights/intelligence, as well as spend management delivery and account management.
Through Vizient Member Networks, Molly was responsible for connecting more than 320 provider organizations, including system-level executives and clinical leaders in supply chain and Vizient's Large Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Supply Network (LISN), representing 20-25 of the nation's largest health systems and more than 500 acute care facilities, to share leading practices and data, and develop high-value solutions.
Molly's work in strategy and operations includes leveraging analytics and expense management strategies to deliver an average of $27 million in recognized annual value to three healthcare organizations within the supply chain network she was responsible for. She also established the network's clinical leadership council, comprised of chief medical officers and supply chain executives, enabling collaboration of 40 physician leaders in clinical variation reduction.
As a two-time grad of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Molly minored in English, received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and later completed her Master of Healthcare Administration. She now serves on the Next Generation Committee of the Board of UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School and a member of the 100 Women initiative.
