James Wilcox
Jim Wilcox’s expertise encompasses the comprehensive management of chronic, non-healing wounds, and the application of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a critical treatment modality. His professional journey began in the United States Navy, where he rose to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. Upon retiring from the military, Wilcox transitioned into civilian healthcare, where he has held key roles across hospitals, burn units and wound care centers. In each setting, he consistently drove improvements in clinical operations, patient outcomes and regulatory compliance. A recognized authority in his field, Wilcox has authored five book chapters on wound care and hyperbaric medicine and co-edited the first nursing textbook dedicated to Hyperbaric & Wound Care Nursing. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina.
