Byron Jobe leads Vizient®, the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. He has a long history of leadership roles within Vizient and in the health care industry, specifically in the areas of strategy, operations and finance.
Prior to being named president and CEO, Jobe was Vizient’s chief administrative and financial officer, overseeing finance, accounting, information technology, marketing, product management, corporate development and sales operations.
Before that, he was president of strategic growth, marketing and innovation. In this role, he led a team focused on externally facing market strategies to enable growth and to provide an exceptional member experience. He had previously been executive vice president of service and delivery for VHA, where he managed the business units responsible for VHA Consulting Services and VHA SupplyNetworks™ as well as clinical data services, strategy and product management. He also maintained executive oversight for one of VHA’s regional offices, VHA Southeast, and VHA-owned Provista, a supply contracting services company that serves both the health care and non-health care marketplaces. Prior to that, Jobe served as area senior vice president, chief financial officer in 2008.
Earlier in his career, Jobe worked for Healthvision, which provided web-based EMR clinical services for regional health information organizations, physicians and hospitals nationwide. While serving as the chief financial and operating officer at Healthvision, Jobe was responsible for the company's business delivery and administrative operations, including product development and implementation, consulting, finance; accounting; human resources; and management information system operations. He also led the company on two acquisitions and one divestiture. Finally, he helped the company complete several rounds of debt- and equity-based financing, which ultimately positioned the company for its merger with Quovadx Inc. in 2007.
Prior to joining Healthvision in 1999, Jobe worked served in different roles at VHA, Baylor Scott and White Health System and PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
Jobe earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.
