Managing Director, Practice Leader, Treasury & Capital Markets

As managing director and practice lead of the Treasury & Capital Markets practice at the consulting and advisory firm Kaufman Hall, a Vizient company, Robert Turner leads a national team of approximately 55 consultants specializing in debt capital markets, real estate capital markets, treasury operations, investment strategy and capital equipment finance.

Mr. Turner advises hospitals and health systems nationwide on complex balance sheet advisory challenges to strengthen financial resilience and position organizations for long-term performance and growth. He partners with executive leadership teams to develop and execute comprehensive balance sheet strategies — delivering plan of finance development for public and private taxable and tax-exempt financings, debt restructurings, swap restructurings and FHA 242 financings, as well as strategic guidance across treasury operations and investment management.

As a trusted advisor to senior healthcare executives for more than 25 years, Mr. Turner brings deep expertise at the intersection of healthcare and finance. He is a regular speaker for industry organizations on balance sheet advisory topics and is recognized for his practical, market-informed perspective on capital structure strategy and financial risk management.

Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Mr. Turner worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he advised healthcare organizations on capital markets transactions and strategic financings.

Mr. Turner holds a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor of arts from Washington & Lee University.
