Mellisa Martinez, DNP, MBA, RN, CENP, CPHQ
Mellisa brings over 25 years of experience covering a continuum of healthcare settings.
Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, she began her career as a critical care nurse with a focus on cardiovascular services. Mellisa’s career includes roles in critical care education, project management, clinical informatics, nursing leadership, hospital operations, quality and regulatory compliance. She has experience in a variety of care settings, both inpatient and outpatient, but primarily acute hospital care, long-term acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. Key accomplishments include cardiovascular service line expansions, electronic medical record and medication administration implementations and a variety of clinical quality improvement and expense reduction projects.
Working as a subject matter expert with the clinical efficiency team at Kaufman Hall, Mellisa has spent the past several years focused on improving operational performance in the areas of quality, interdisciplinary coordination and care management. She is currently a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
Mellisa earned a doctor of nursing practice, leadership and innovation from the University of Missouri, a master of business administration in healthcare degree from Texas Woman’s University, and bachelor of science, nursing from Texas Woman’s University.
