Margaret A. Gavigan
Margaret Gavigan is a Senior Vice President with Kaufman Hall’s Revenue & Operations Improvement practice. Her responsibilities focus on providing consultation to hospital and health systems to solve their most pressing workforce, staffing and operational issues and to develop enterprise-wide strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Margaret has over thirty-five years of healthcare experience with a proven record in executing strategic change within complex organizations and attaining sustainable health care system improvements in labor efficiency, quality, service, operations, and employee engagement. Her areas of expertise include strategic workforce management, operational excellence, improving health system quality, risk, and patient safety outcomes, designing telehealth solutions and health system merger integration planning and execution.
Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Margaret was the Regional Chief Nursing Officer and System Vice President, Clinical Operations for Advocate Health, Charlotte, North Carolina. Additional positions include serving as Chief Nurse Executive and Senior Vice President of Quality for the Chicago Market for Vanguard, Nashville, Tennessee, System Chief Nurse Executive and Senior Vice President of Quality for Presence Health, Mokena, Illinois, and Chief Clinical Officer for Provena Health, Mokena, Illinois.
Margaret earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Northern Kentucky University, an M.B.A. from Drexel University, an M.S.N. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S.N. from Thomas Jefferson University. She holds a certification as a Nurse Executive, Advanced from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
