David Sheahin

David is a Managing Director in Kaufman Hall’s Revenue & Operations Improvement (ROI) practice and the leader of the Claro CDI service line. David is responsible for shaping and growing the Claro CDI service line—an essential component of the mid-revenue cycle.  With over 30 years of healthcare consulting experience, David specializes in helping providers enhance performance, optimize operations and achieve sustainable quality and financial outcomes.

Throughout his career, David has partnered with more than 150 healthcare organizations—from small rural hospitals to large multi-hospital health systems and nationally ranked academic medical centers. David takes pride in helping health systems uncover new quality and revenue opportunities, enhancing processes and implementing performance improvement solutions that ultimately enable investment in their mission and communities.

David holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with concentrations in health industry management and finance, and a BS in finance from Indiana University.
