David Hiteshew, CFA
David Hiteshew joined Ponder Investment Company (PIC), now Kaufman Hall Investment Management (KHIM), in 2004. As a Senior Vice President for KHIM, he is responsible for providing fixed income management on a separate account basis to clients with an emphasis on those focused on the short and intermediate part of the yield curve. David has more than 35 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, he was vice president and portfolio manager for Asset Allocation and Management in Chicago, managing $1+ billion in client assets. While there, he developed and managed the crossover investment strategy for insurance companies, actively managing the yield curve and sector decisions for those clients. Previously, Mr. Hiteshew worked as a fixed income portfolio manager for insurance companies with Zurich Scudder Investments and for a variety of clients with J.P. Morgan Investment Management Company. He specialized in the management of tax-exempt municipal securities in these assignments as well as at American Express Company, where he was the senior trader for tax exempts. David holds a BS. in finance and economics from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Additionally, he is a member of the CFA Society of Nashville and The CFA Institute.
