Mercy Project wins Borlaug Award

The Norman Borlaug Humanitarian Award is given annually to a 501(c)(3) organization doing extraordinary work helping others and making a difference in the world. The award is named for the late Norman Borlaug, PhD, an agronomist who was known as “the man who saved a billion lives” for his revolutionary approach to plant breeding that radically changed agriculture. Vizient selected Mercy Project as the winner of the award in 2016.

The American Fallen Soldiers Project

Corporal Jeremy Allbaugh honored

The American Fallen Soldiers Project is an independent organization formed in 2007 to help provide comfort and healing to the grieving families of our fallen military. Vizient partners with this organization to present the family of a fallen loved one with an original portrait by artist Phil Taylor. In 2016, Vizient selected the family of Cpl. Jeremy Allbaugh, United States Marines, to receive a portrait.

Ty Carter receives Pacesetter Award

The George H.W. Bush Pacesetter Award is an annual recognition of a veteran who has served the nation honorably through great sacrifice, and who has embraced the opportunity to serve others both inside and outside the United States Armed Forces. In 2016, U.S. Army Spc. Ty M. Carter received this award.
