Consistently delivering high-value care takes committed and unified leadership, along with the right infrastructure. We design both interprofessional opportunities to help leadership teams build the confidence, skill and capability to lead their organizations successfully into the future, and profession-specific educational series. Vizient is an accredited educational provider for a variety of disciplines, including nursing, pharmacy, medical education for physicians, and quality professionals. We provide continuing education units for the majority of our programs.
A journey toward high reliability
Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital applied strategies learned during our Safety, Reliability and Management Systems Workshop to build a better safety culture in their organization. As a result of their work, one patient care unit went 150 days without a hospital-acquired pressure injury.

Our education programs provide access to experts and tools for accreditation professionals and operational managers of academic medical centers, community hospitals and ambulatory care facilities. Our programs focus on Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation and highlight requirements unique to certain voluntary accrediting organizations. In addition, programs are approved for continuing education credit.
Accreditation Professional Orientation Certificate Program
Our comprehensive educational program provides the knowledge and skill set participating members need to become more effective accreditation professionals. The program is led by Vizient accreditation leaders, and participants have access to mentors for one-on-one assistance and networking.
Annual Accreditation and Regulatory Update
Our program offers a deep dive into the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation, along with supplemental insights from The Joint Commission. The Vizient Advisory team will provide a focused review of issues, trends and insights and provides a road map of essential steps for elevating their health care organization to a state of continuous readiness to help the accreditation professional ensure continuous patient readiness.
Every year, we survey network members to determine the direction and focus of our offerings. The results directly influence much of our education offered. The topics touch upon the challenges and goals of our members, as well as industry trends. In our education series available to Vizient Member Network participants members share their experiences, learnings and leading practices, and/or Vizient and industry experts.
