Networks deliver collaborative power

In today’s environment, the primary mission of health care organizations often competes with many other priorities. Faced with capacity challenges, as well as new regulations, technologies and payment methodologies, providers find themselves overloaded with new tasks and hurdles — and the momentum is only accelerating. In this “new normal,” the most forward-thinking health care leaders recognize that collaboration with like-minded organizations drives improvement at a faster pace.

Two robust types of networks

Community-based Networks

Large integrated health care systems and community-based independent hospitals collaborate locally, nationally and virtually.

Vizient Consortium

Leaders from academic medical center (AMC) -led systems as well as individual AMCs meet to derive insights and value for AMCs across the United States.

Offerings available to network participants

Through Vizient Member Networks, health care leaders experience discovery, knowledge sharing, learning, collaboration and innovation to advance health care strategies, operations and outcomes — together. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the following offerings to gain the full value of membership.

Health care executives and leaders need trusted environments to raise issues, ask questions and collaborate. Our peer networks are organized for the various needs of our participants.

CEO Executive Boards

Our CEO Executive Boards gain access to leading performance improvement practices, opportunities for knowledge exchange and strategies to prepare for the future of health care. CEO Executive Boards consist of CEOs from participating member organizations.

Member peer networks

Network participants convene based on their professional discipline, topic interests or segment. Additionally, system level executives convene to address the unique challenges of large health care systems. Network meetings enable health care professionals to connect locally, nationally and virtually.

Vizient is dedicated to helping our members deliver cost-effective care for patients and communities nationwide. We host two national conferences – Connections Summits – annually that offer programming to help member organizations improve performance. Health care leaders and professionals benefit from sessions focused on sharing unique insights and leading practices, as well as exclusive member networking.

Several of the member peer networks conduct their national meetings directly before the fall conference. These meetings, which are exclusive to network participants, offer a face-to-face opportunity for peers from across the country to share with and learn from each other.

We designed profession-specific educational series to help leadership teams connect with their peers nationwide and with subject matter experts to discuss leading practices and current issues. Many of the educational opportunities are offered to Vizient Member Network participants as a core benefit of their network membership (in-network benefit). Vizient is an accredited educational provider for a variety of disciplines, including nursing and pharmacy education and medical education for physicians. We provide continuing education units for the majority of the educational programs.

PI Collaboratives

Performance Improvement Collaboratives provide evidence-based research and collaboration to address challenges across the health care continuum. Participants from across the networks solve clinical and operational problems, pinpointing improvement opportunities through a research-driven model.

Vizient Research Institute

The Vizient Research Institute provides independent thought leadership, focusing on macroeconomic issues that contribute to a national movement toward a sustainable health care system capable of providing high-quality, accessible and affordable care.

Sg2

Sg2 is the industry authority on health care trends, insights and market analytics. More than 1,400 organizations rely on this unique integration of analytics and expertise. Throughout the year, selected Sg2 Network Insights are specifically curated for network participants.
