Toward Inclusion and Diversity: Establishing Commitment
In this three-part series, we will spotlight leading health care organizations on their journey toward inspiring a culture of inclusion and diversity in both patient care and employee engagement. Find out how these hospitals and health care systems have achieved a deeper perspective of diversity to enable high-quality, inclusive, equitable and safe care environments. The highlighted organizations are a mix of big and small, rural and urban, and are located in communities across the country. Some are early in their journey, while others have already made significant strides to advance inclusion and diversity to address health disparities. We hope you’ll be inspired by their passion and dedication toward improving the health and well-being of the individuals they serve, and that you, too, will find ways to take steps toward inclusion and diversity in your organization.
Our first program on July 18 will focus on establishing commitment for inclusion and diversity initiatives. Steven K. Jones, FACHE, executive in residence at Rutgers University, will reflect on his experience leading the inclusion and diversity journey at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in New Jersey, and Dr. Shoeb Sitafalwalla will share the evolution and role of the South Asian Cardiovascular Center at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
